Bulgari Adds Bronze to the Aluminium Collection

For the first time, Bulgari introduces bronze into its legendary Aluminium line, blending timeless design with a material that evolves with every wearer. In addition, two striking Octo Finissimo models are on display.

The Bulgari Aluminium has long been celebrated for rewriting the rules of luxury watch design. First introduced in 1998, the model dared to combine aluminum and rubber–and challenged traditional codes of fine watchmaking. Relaunched in 2020 with a mechanical automatic movement, the line remains a bold statement of modern elegance, rooted in the brand’s Roman spirit. Now, in 2025, Bulgari turns a new page in this story by adding bronze, a metal with a history as old as civilization itself, to the collection. The result is the Bvlgari Bronzo, available in two striking interpretations: the GMT and the Chronograph. Both models embody a spirit of strength, travel, and contemporary sophistication, while also carrying the promise of a patina that will make each timepiece unique over time. For Bulgari, the introduction of bronze into the Bulgari Aluminium collection is more than a technical update, it’s a creative dialogue between materials. Bronze is celebrated for its resilience and for the way it ages, developing a surface patina that reflects the wearer’s lifestyle and journey.

“The essence of the Bulgari Bulgari lies in the combination of materials. Originally crafted from aluminum and rubber, the case of this model is now made of bronze, a material of historical significance in watchmaking that Bulgari has only rarely employed. This alloy is not only resistant but also alive. Over time, its patina evolves, making each watch unique and personal. The intense yet warm hue of bronze is both masculine and elegant, and its extraordinary finishing already lends the watch an iconic aura.”

The Bulgari Bronzo GMT offers a refined take on dual time display. The 40mm bronze case, which is water-resistant to 100 meters despite its thin height of just 9.7mm, contrasts with a deep black rubber bezel engraved with “Bvlgari Bvlgari.” The matte black dial, paired with rose-gilt sandblasted hands, ensures clarity and elegance, while a black-lacquered 24-hour GMT disc on the flange provides intuitive reading of a second time zone together with the arrow-tipped central hand. Behind the closed case back crafted from titanium beats the automatic, Sellita-based Caliber B192, providing a 50-hour power reserve.

The Bulgari Bronzo is combined with a rubber strap and retails for CHF4,390 or approximately $5,440 when converted to USD.

The Bulgari Bronzo Chronograph underscores the expressive power of bronze. At 41mm in diameter and 12.3mm in height, its sandblasted case is paired with a black rubber bezel and strap, creating a strong, graphic contrast. The matte black dial, which is luminescent in the dark, is furnished with three azurage counters, a tachymeter scale on the flange, and rose-gold hands. The design is bold yet highly legible and harmonious.

At its heart ticks the self-winding Caliber B381, which offers a 42-hour power reserve. It is based on the Sellita SW300 with a Dubois-Dépraz chronograph module. The Bulgari Bronzo Chronograph is also equipped with a closed case back and water-resistant to 100 meters. Pricing is marked at CHF5,450 or approximately $6,760.

Alongside the new Bronzo line, Bulgari shines a spotlight on its record-breaking pursuit of ultra-thin watchmaking through a retrospective of the Octo Finissimo, tracing more than a decade of record-breaking achievements. Within this context, the brand unveiled two new timepieces that exemplify both technical audacity and artistic collaboration: the Octo Finissimo Lee Ufan x Bulgari, developed with the Korean-born painter, sculptor, and philosopher Lee Ufan, and the Octo Finissimo Marble Tourbillon, featuring a dial crafted from deep-blue Italian marble.

Lee Ufan is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores perception, presence, and the dialogue between humanity and the natural universe. His collaboration with Bulgari and Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, the brand’s Executive Director of Product Creation, centers on one of his key artistic themes: the contrast between a rock, symbolizing permanence, and a mirror, symbolizing infinite reflection.

The result is a timepiece of quiet intensity. Its mirrored dial with discreet black hands becomes the focal point, framed by a hand-finished titanium case and bracelet. The 40mm case measures just 5.5mm high and is equipped with a sunray-polished stainless steel bezel. Through the transparent case back, Lee Ufan’s signature marks each of the 150 pieces as both a watch and an intimate work of art.

Inside ticks the BLV 138 caliber, an automatic movement with a sophisticated micro-rotor. At only 2.23mm thick, it ensures the ultra-slim profile of the case while offering refined decoration, including Geneva stripes, beveling, and perlage. It beats at 3 Hz and provides a 60-hour power reserve.

If titanium and mirrors speak to philosophical reflection, marble speaks to Roman grandeur. Long associated with refinement and cultural power, marble has rarely been used in watchmaking due to its fragility when cut into the wafer-thin layers required for dials. Bulgari, however, has always thrived on pushing material boundaries. Following the debut of a green “Verde Alpi” marble dial earlier in 2025, Bulgari now presents the Octo Finissimo Marble Tourbillon with a dial carved from deep-blue Italian marble. At just 4.8mm high and 40mm in diameter, the platinum caseis a study in elegance and technical virtuosity.

The timepiece houses the BVL 268 caliber, a hand-wound movement only 1.95 mm thick, featuring a flying tourbillon, small seconds, and a power reserve of 52 hours. Its refined architecture and exquisite finishes come to life through the transparent case back. A white-gold crown with black ceramic insert completes the refined details.
