Certina's latest chronograph collection, the DS-7 Auto Chrono, is inspired by the dynamic world of Padel. This fast-paced racquet sport, to which the Swiss brand has been closely linked since 2021, serves as the creative spark behind this collection, combining bold, athletic design with Certina's signature reliability and precision and an attractive price tag.

The DS-7 Chrono features a stainless steel 316L case with a 42mm diameter, designed to handle both daily wear and athletic pursuits, with water resistance up to 100 meters (10 bar). Its refined details, like the protected crown, classic mushroom pushers, and a tachymeter scale on the bezel for measuring speed, combine function with sporty flair. The dial layout includes a small seconds subdial at 9 o'clock, a 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock, and a date window, ensuring a well-balanced and practical display.

Beneath the slightly domed, anti-reflective sapphire crystal lies a textured dark blue dial. The embossed grid pattern draws inspiration from the nets and court boundaries of Padel, adding a unique touch to the timepiece. Super-LumiNova-coated hands and indices ensure readability in low-light conditions. In addition to the bold blue version, the DS-7 Chrono comes in two other color options—dark green and black—each with a stainless steel bracelet featuring a quick-release system for easy strap changes.

At the heart of the DS-7 Chrono Auto is the ETA A05.231 automatic movement with a silicon balance spring. Known for its resistance to magnetic fields, temperature fluctuations, and shocks, the silicon spring also offers durability and precision. The movement boasts an impressive 68-hour power reserve and is visible through the sapphire case back.
