Sponsored: Introducing The Ridge Land & Sea GMT

Breaking onto the watch scene with a discerning approach to the classic dive watch is the independent maker, The Ridge. As a brand that has perfected a versatile, minimalist wallet design, The Ridge is now taking the same refined approach to its newest watch release. The Land & Sea GMT is a highly accurate and multifaceted dive watch that packs modern technology into a classic exterior form. The watch is available in three distinct versions, dubbed the Royal Black, Alpine Navy, and Carbon models.

The streamlined case silhouette of the new Land & Sea GMT takes shape in 316L steel with precise hairline finishing. Characteristic of standard dive watch design, the bezel features an easy-grip, serrated edge, ensuring easy operation even in slippery conditions. Each of the three versions of the new Land & Sea GMT comes with two interchangeable bezel pieces that each offer a distinct style and functionality. The first option takes inspiration from the classic two-toned GMT bezel design with 24-hour markers, whereas the second offers a 60-minute timer and unique compass functionality. The watches also come with two interchangeable strap options that, when paired with each distinct bezel option, provide a dynamic solution to changing tastes and styles.

The dial of the Land & Sea GMT offers a clear and legible glow-in-the-dark display, with bold numeric indices and hands. There is a 24-hour scale on the periphery of the dial, while the corresponding GMT hand is distinguished by an arrow at its end, offering a distinct shape in contrast to the more classic hour and minute hands, while at a 3 o’clock position a date window resides adding further utility to the sports model. For coloring, the Royal Black version opts for a black sunburst dial with white-gray details, the Alpine Navy features a namely navy blue sunburst dial with white-gray details, and the Carbon iteration uses a unique black sunburst dial with a geometric texture and white-gray details.

Inside the watch is the Swiss Ronda powertech Caliber 515.24H movement. The quartz movement ensures reliable precision, with a variance of 10/+20 seconds per month. In true dive watch fashion, the mechanism offers 200 meters of water resistance and a water-tight screw-down crown and caseback. With the date and GMT complications brought to life through an easily legible display and reliable case design, the Land & Sea GMT is the ultimate daily driver watch.

The new Land & Sea GMT from The Ridge is available in three versions: Royal Black ($395), Alpine Navy ($395), and Carbon ($495). Each version comes with two interchangeable, unidirectional bezels and two interchangeable straps.
