Glashütte Original Launches Two SeaQ “Northern Tide” Limited Editions for North America
A turquoise tide rolls into the SeaQ collection
Glashütte Original introduces the SeaQ “Northern Tide” and SeaQ Panorama Date “Northern Tide,” a pair of limited editions created exclusively for North America. Each model is limited to 100 pieces and features a new turquoise dial with a black dégradé effect, paired with a stainless-steel case and black ceramic dive bezel.
The retro-inspired design of the SeaQ collection traces its origins to the Spezimatic Type RP TS 200, the only dive watch produced in Glashütte during the GDR era. Available exclusively in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, both watches combine those historic design cues with modern in-house automatic movements and professional dive-watch credentials. Both models are certified to the DIN 8306 and ISO 6425 standards for dive watches and undergo Glashütte Original’s strict in-house testing procedures.

Glashütte OriginalA Turquoise-to-Black Dégradé Dial
The striking new colorway debuts across both SeaQ models, with a matte turquoise lacquer dial that gradually darkens toward the outer edge. The rhodium-plated hands — including a broad plongeur-style hour hand, arrow-shaped minute hand, and lollipop seconds hand — along with the applied numerals and indexes are generously coated with Super-LumiNova for strong legibility in low-light conditions. Framing the dial, the unidirectional rotating bezel with its black ceramic insert echoes the dark outer gradient, completing the watches’ distinctive color scheme.

Glashütte OriginalTwo Sizes and Two Manufacture Movements
The SeaQ is housed in a 39.5mm stainless-steel case and offers 200 meters of water resistance. It is powered by the manufacture caliber 39-11, which displays the hours, minutes, central seconds, and date at 3 o’clock. Operating at 4 Hz, the movement delivers a power reserve of approximately 40 hours. It is visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, revealing traditional Glashütte finishing including a three-quarter plate, blued screws, and Glashütte stripe decoration.
The larger SeaQ Panorama Date measures 43.2mm in diameter and increases water resistance to 300 meters. Inside is the manufacture caliber 36-13, offering a 100-hour power reserve and Glashütte Original’s signature Panorama Date display at 4 o’clock. The date display for this one uses two concentric discs positioned on the same level without a separating bar. Like its smaller counterpart, the movement is visible through the sapphire crystal caseback.
Both limited editions come with a stainless-steel bracelet featuring a folding clasp with fine adjustment, along with an additional black synthetic strap fitted with a butterfly folding clasp.
