Sophisticated and Elegant: Meet the New Serenade Luna from Glashütte Original

To mark this year’s International Women’s Day, Glashütte Original is treating aficionadas to a new mechanical wristwatch. The Serenade Luna— a three-hand timepiece with moon-phase indication and diamond hour-markers— is available in four versions: three with stainless steel cases, one of which has a diamond-studded bezel, and one in red gold (and also enhanced by a diamond bezel).

The stainless steel versions are offered with one blue sun-ray dial and two mother-of-pearl dials. The red gold version features a green sunray dial. All Serenade Luna models make use of a beautifully detailed moon-phase indication crafted from delicate mother-of-pearl with an entourage of stars. With a diameter of 32.5 mm and a height of 8.9 mm, they fulfill the preferred standards of an elegant ladies’ watch.

The refinement of the Serenade Luna continues on the inside. There we find a genuine manufacture movement, the Caliber 35-14 that represents mechanical state of the art with a silicon balance-spring, a shock-resistant oscillating system and a power reserve of 60 hours.

It goes without saying that it is finished to the high standards of traditional Glashütte fine watchmaking, with its stunning decorations, such as Glashütte stripes, blued screws and sunburst finishing on the ratchet wheel being visible through a sapphire case back.

The Glashütte Original Lady Serenade in stainless steel with a leather strap is priced at $10,900. Equipped with a metal bracelet, this version retails for $12,000. The stainless steel execution with a diamond-studded bezel and a leather strap has a price tag of $14,200. The red gold Lady Serenade retails for $22,700.
