Baume & Mercier Launches Five New Riviera Models for Summer

Just in time for summer, Baume & Mercier introduces five fresh variations of its Riviera collection, blending Mediterranean laissez-faire with the sophistication of haute horlogerie. Among them are two automatic models in intriguing colorways and three quartz-powered ladies' timepieces in breezy pastel tones.

Since its debut in 1973, the Riviera has stood as a bold symbol of casual elegance. Relaunched in 2021, the collection of luxury sports watches merges sophisticated watchmaking with relaxed coastal charm, marked by its signature twelve-sided bezel with four screws, wave pattern on the dial, and integrated bracelet design.

Black & White Boldness: Riviera MOA10829

The Riviera M0A10829 makes a striking impression with its bold black-and-white contrast. A bright dial with the signature wave motif is encircled by a black chapter ring, giving depth and definition to the watch face. The signature rhodium-plated Roman numerals, markers, and faceted hands are coated with Super-LumiNova for optimal legibility under all conditions. The black seconds hand with the brand’s Phi logo on the counterweight follows the color scheme, as does the date indication at 3 o'clock.

Inside the 42 mm stainless-steel case–water-resistant to 100 meters–ticks the tried-and-tested SW200 caliber with 38 hours of power reserve, visible through the sapphire crystal case back.

Pricing is marked at $2,900.

Gold Meets Steel: Riviera MOA10822

Baume & Mercier also presents the Riviera M0A10822, a refined automatic model that brings together warm golden tones and cool steel. Its elegant aesthetic echoes the limited-edition Flyback Chronograph Riviera M0A10828 showcased earlier this year at Watches and Wonders. This dial foregoes the wave pattern and instead exhibits a brushed finish. The blued steel seconds hand, featuring the Phi-logo counterweight, stands out against this warm hue, with the date window at 3 o’clock color-coordinated.

At its heart beats the in-house Baumatic caliber BM13-1975A, offering a five-day power reserve, anti-magnetic resistance up to 1500 Gauss, and premium finishing, including perlage, and a snailed, partially skeletonized gold-toned rotor with Geneva Stripes. The Riviera MOA10822 is housed in a 39mm case with a water resistance rating to 100 meters.

The watch is priced at $4,300.

Pastel Tones for Summer: New 33mm Riviera Quartz Models

Bringing a light and playful flair to the collection, Baume & Mercier introduces three new ladies’ Riviera models, each with a pastel-colored dial and housed in a 33mm stainless-steel case (9.22 mm thick, 50 meters water-resistant). The caseback also mirrors the dodecagonal shape and can be custom engraved. All dials feature the signature wave pattern and a discreet date window at 3 o’clock. The integrated stainless-steel bracelets come equipped with a quick-change system, a signature of the entire Riviera collection.

  • Riviera M0A10810 – With a warm silver-toned dial reminiscent of the southern sun
  • Riviera M0A10811 – A tribute to water, featuring a soft light blue dial
  • Riviera M0A10812 – A fresh and playful take on expressive pink

Pricing is marked at $1,950.
