With the new Serenade Luna, Glashütte Original once again places the moon-phase display center stage, celebrating what is arguably one of the most poetic of all complications. Introduced toward the end of 2025, the latest iteration of the Serenade Luna combines refined proportions with a high-end in-house movement, underscoring the German luxury manufacture’s ambition to bring to life feminine watchmaking at the highest technical and aesthetic level.

At first glance, the watch captivates with its rich violet dial, a hue reminiscent of velvet and silk. Crafted in-house in the brand's dial manufactory in Glashütte, the watch face in dégradé style blends red and blue tones into a deep, luxurious purple inspired by Gynura aurantiaca, the so-called “velvet plant.” The color appears calming and spiritual, yet at the same time inspiring and mysterious. A fine vertical satin finish and a translucent lacquer layer enhance its depth and radiance. The undisputed star on it is the moon-phase display at 6 o’clock. Executed in white natural mother-of-pearl and dark Tahitian mother-of-pearl, and adorned with printed stars, it lends the Serenade Luna its distinctive character and emotional appeal. Diamond-set white-gold hour appliqués – 20 brilliant-cut diamonds in total – add further sparkle, enhanced by the additional 48 diamonds set into the bezel.

Housed in a stainless-steel case measuring 32.5mm in diameter and just 8.9mm in height, the Serenade Luna strikes a harmonious balance between elegance and everyday wearability. Inside beats the automatic in-house Caliber 35 with integrated moon-phase display. Operating at a frequency of 4 Hz, it offers a comfortable 60-hour power reserve. A silicon balance spring enhances resistance to temperature fluctuations and magnetic fields, ensuring modern reliability alongside traditional craftsmanship.

Through the sapphire crystal case back, Glashütte Original’s hallmark finishing comes into full view: the Glashütte ribbing on the three-quarter plate, finely beveled edges, the sunburst finish on the reduction wheel, a perlage track on the rotor, and polished, blued screws – all details that speak to the manufacture’s dedication to haute horlogerie.

The Serenade Luna is paired with a violet Louisiana alligator leather strap secured by a stainless-steel double-fold clasp. Pricing is marked at $14,600.
