Tissot has unveiled a special edition that unites two iconic symbols of the 1970s: the PRX watch and the Japanese super robot UFO Robot Grendizer, also known as Goldorak. The PRX UFO Robot Grendizer timepiece celebrates the enduring allure of the '70s, a decade known for its bold fashion, vibrant music scene, and distinctive art and design.

The PRX, originally launched in 1978 and recently revived to great acclaim, features a slightly tonneau-shaped stainless steel case with a 40mm diameter, an integrated metal bracelet, and 100 meters of water resistance. The special edition watch honors the legendary robot with a striking blue dial adorned with the bust of Goldorak, which glows bright yellow thanks to Super-LumiNova. The seconds hand has a harken-shaped counterweight, and the flange bears the engraving "UFO ロボ グレンダイザ," the original Japanese title of the manga series.

Powered by the Powermatic 80 movement (ETA base caliber C.07.111), this PRX edition offers an impressive 80-hour power reserve, while the Nivachron balance spring ensures high precision and reliability. The sapphire crystal case back reveals the automatic movement, complete with a rotor featuring Goldorak’s iconic likeness.

The watch is presented in a specially designed box inspired by Goldorak's UFO, the "Spazer," adding a personal touch reminiscent of the hero’s legendary spacecraft. The outer packaging is decorated with original artwork by Go Nagai, the creator of the UFO Robot Grendizer series, making this a true collector's item for fans of both Tissot and classic anime.
