Nomos Glashütte Welcomes Summer with the Ahoi neomatik sky and sand

As summer is in full swing in the Northern Hemisphere, Nomos Glashütte once again expands its nautical-inspired Ahoi collection. The new Ahoi neomatik sky and Ahoi neomatik sand combine sporty functionality with fresh seasonal colors, offering versatile companions for life on and off the water.

It has become something of a tradition: at the start of summer in the Northern Hemisphere, Nomos Glashütte introduces new additions to its maritime-inspired Ahoi family. Following last year’s launch of the larger Ahoi neomatik 38 date models, the Glashütte manufacture now presents two compact references in vibrant new colors sans date. The Ahoi neomatik sky and Ahoi neomatik sand bring a fresh seasonal aesthetic to one of the brand’s most versatile collections, combining robust sports-watch credentials with the clean, minimalist design language for which Nomos is known.

The new models demonstrate the concept that has defined the Ahoi collection since its introduction: a watch equally at home on a sailing trip, at the office, or during an evening by the marina. The Ahoi neomatik sky features a cheerful sky-blue dial, while the Ahoi neomatik sand takes inspiration from shimmering sand at the water’s edge with a warm golden tone. Legibility in low-light conditions is ensured by Superluminova on the hands and hour markers, which emit a green glow in the dark.

Both watches are housed in a steel case measuring 36.3mm in diameter and just 9.1mm in height. Their compact dimensions make them suitable for a wide range of wrist sizes while preserving the slim profile expected from a Nomos timepiece. A textile strap underscores the sporty character and is designed to withstand active use both in and around the water.

Despite their elegant appearance, the new Ahoi models are built to perform. The stainless-steel case is secured by six screws, while the crown is protected by flank guards and screws down to ensure water resistance to 200 meters (20 atm). A red warning ring provides a visual reminder when the crown is not fully secured.

Powering both models is the in-house automatic caliber DUW 3001, developed and manufactured by Nomos Glashütte. Part of the brand’s neomatik movement family, the caliber is notable for its slim construction while offering efficient automatic winding and the precision expected from the Saxon manufacturer. Customers can choose between a sapphire crystal case back that showcases caliber and a solid case back. Pricing starts from $4,540.
