While summer is in full swing, Nomos Glashütte casts off with a striking new iteration of its versatile Ahoi collection, the Ahoi neomatik 38 date, this time equipped with a white silver-plated dial. This new color option completes the range which is available with Atlantic, sky, and sand watch faces. Elegant yet robust, this self-winding timepiece exemplifies the German brand’s signature design ethos which is all about sophisticated simplicity.

Despite its impressive water resistance of up to 200 meters, which is confirmed by the engraved whale motif on the caseback, the watch maintains moderate proportions. With its slender 38.5mm stainless steel case and a thickness of just 9.8mm, it is a showcase of refined engineering.

Thoughtfully angled lugs and a protective crown guard enhance its sleek yet durable profile, striking a balance between elegance and resilience. A clever feature is the red warning ring on the crown, which appears when the crown is unscrewed—reminding the wearer to secure it before exposure to water.

Like its predecessors, the new white silver-plated dial variant is luminescent, here emitting a light-green glow in the dark. However, it is paired with sky-blue hour and minute hands as well as a bright red seconds hand, complemented by crisp square markers at five-minute intervals and the characteristic small seconds indication at 6 o'clock.

As the name suggests, the Glashütte sports watch features a date display. Thanks to a patented mechanism with bidirectional quick correction, it is remarkably large and prominently positioned. In the genuine automatic caliber DUW 6101, the date ring is cleverly placed around the outer edge, allowing for the elegant integration of a full-sized date display without disrupting the dial's visual harmony. Another feature is the stop-seconds mechanism for accurate time setting.

The bidirectional winding rotor, adorned with gold-plated embossing, ensures efficient energy transfer, while traditional Glashütte watchmaking elements—including the three-quarter plate and the brand’s proprietary DUW regulation system—underscore the movement’s high level of technical and aesthetic refinement, which can be admired through the sapphire case back.

The Ahoi neomatik 38 date is fitted with a versatile textile strap and retails for $4,820.
