Timing every step of the 26.2-mile race
Timing the Five Boroughs
TAG Heuer returns for a second consecutive year as Official Timekeeper of the TCS New York City Marathon. To mark the partnership, the Swiss watchmaker introduces the Connected Calibre E5 Running Edition, a 45mm smartwatch developed specifically with runners and endurance athletes in mind. It combines a lightweight case made from titanium grade 2 with dedicated running functions and a stretch strap designed for an active fit. This is the third sport-specific model of the Connected TAG Heuer has launched this year, in June introducing the Connected Calibre E5 Golf Watch in collaboration with TaylorMade, and before that introducing the Connected Calibre E5 x Formula 1 Edition in February.
TAG Heuer’s role at the event extends beyond the watch itself. During race week, the brand will provide the official countdown clock at the TCS New York City Marathon Expo, as well as branded clocks at the start, along the course and at the finish line. The partnership also encompasses two additional New York Road Runners events, the United Airlines NYC Half and the Abbott Dash to the Finish Line 5K. The 2026 TCS New York City Marathon marks 50 years since the race expanded beyond Central Park to its current five-borough course in 1976, while the event itself dates back to 1970.
