H. Moser & Cie. Takes Digital Timekeeping Off-Grid

H. Moser & Cie. enters the world of digital watches with the Off-Grid, its second foray into digital timekeeping after the earlier presented Streamliner Alpine Drivers Edition and Streamliner Alpine Mechanics Edition. The new model takes a distinctly different approach to connected technology. Rather than filling the wrist with notifications, data and functions, the Schaffhausen-based manufacture focuses on a carefully selected range of watchmaking-inspired features. Hours and minutes remain analogue, while a digital display at 6 o’clock provides access to a perpetual calendar, GMT, chronograph, moon phase and other functions. The watch combines an open-worked dial and digital display with Moser’s signature fumé finishes and Streamliner-inspired design. Developed with Sequent, a specialized Swiss movement manufacturer, it offers up to 12 months of power in time-only mode and is compatible with iOS and Android.

Digital Technology, Moser Style

The Off-Grid design follows the familiar Moser language, with a 42.6mm case, an integrated rubber strap and an open-worked dial that reveals the architecture beneath the display. At 12 o’clock, the small, slightly domed fumé dial with the hours and minutes represents the analogue side. Its ceramic indexes and hands are coated with Superluminova. Moser offers two iterations: Blackor fumé with blue PVD-treated stainless steel or Red fumé with black PVD-treated steel. The digital interface is positioned below.

A Selective Set of Functions 

The Off-Grid offers a GMT function with a country selector covering all time zones, as well as a split-seconds chronograph with 1/100th-of-a-second resolution. A perpetual calendar and a perpetual moon phase are programmed for the next 100 years, while sunrise and sunset times are calculated to an accuracy of one minute and 30 seconds and likewise programmed for the next century. Other functions include a vibrating alarm, timer and an “OFF-GRID” travel mode. The latter provides quick country selection and a dictionary containing ten words in 21 languages. 

One Year of Power Reserve

The Off-Grid is powered by CaliberD10, developed by Sequent for H. Moser & Cie. The 186-component movement provides an accuracy of ±0.3 seconds per day. Power reserve is up to 12 months when the watch is used in time-display-only mode. With combined use of the time display, 30 days of alarm function and one hour of chronograph operation, the reserve is six months. The 42.6mm steel case measures 14.4mm thick and is water-resistant to 120 meters. The closed case back carries the Moser hallmark.

Two Limited Editions

The Off-Grid is offered in two versions, each limited to 1,000 pieces. Reference 6DI0-1202 combines blue PVD-treated steel with a Blackor fumé dial and a white integrated rubber strap. Reference 6DI0-1205 pairs black PVD-treated steel with a Red fumé dial and black rubber strap. Priced at $4,900 each, they are the most affordable watches H. Moser & Cie. has offered to date.

Moser’s Off-Grid was initially be available to existing Moser clients from September 21 to 23, before becoming available to the wider enthusiast community from September 24. It will be sold exclusively through H. Moser & Cie. boutiques and the brand’s website, and will only be available until October 5, 2026.
