Rado revives an iconic model from the 1980s, the rectangular Anatom, available in three different color ways as well as a limited special edition with diamond markers.

The first Anatom was introduced to the market in 1983. Its name was derived from its shape, designed to snugly fit around the wrist in an "anatomical" fashion. The timepiece continued Rado's tradition of sophisticated form watches initiated with the DiaStar in 1962.

While the original 1983 Anatom had a hard metal case, today's version is crafted from Rado's signature high-tech ceramic. Water resistant to 50 meters, it has a diameter of 32.5 mm x 46.3 mm and a height of 11.3mm. The crown is also made of high-tech ceramic, while the case middle and back are crafted from black PVD-coated stainless steel.

The shape closely follows the original: a rectangular case with slightly beveled corners and a seamless transition to the rubber strap. The sapphire glass above the gradient dial is curved, as it was back then, also with beveled corners, and now extends to the edge, adding extra presence to the dial. Rado offers the Anatom in blue, green, or cognac. For best readability in the dark, the hands and indices are coated with white Superluminova.

The newcomers are powered by the automatic caliber R766 (based on ETA A31.111). The self-winding movement which is equipped with an antimagnetic Nivachron hairspring and boasts a 72-hour power reserve can be admired through the case back.

In addition to the three executions with colored dials, there is a limited edition anniversary model with a black dial, limited to 40 pieces. It is distinguished by the inscription "jubilé" and eleven baguette-cut diamonds.

Pricing is marked at approximately $3,800 when converted to USD. The diamond-studded execution retails for approximately $11,300 when converted to USD.
