The Santos wrote history as the world’s first aviator watch for the wrist. A staple in the Cartier collection for more than a century, it has been redesigned countless times without loosing its signature characteristic, such as the oversized and stretched Roman numerals, the railroad-style minutes track and the bold yet elegant sword-shaped hands.

Among the new line-up at this year's Watches & Wonders, the Santos de Cartier Large Model offers a subtly revised design with harmonious, flowing lines and a practical wristband-swap feature which lets the wearer make tool-free adjustments in no time. The Ref. WSSA0048 is powered by self-winding manufacture caliber 1847 MC, which is protected against magnetic fields of up to 1,200 A/m and housed in a stainless-steel case measuring 47.5 x 39.8 mm. The height is svelte with 9.37mm. The PVD-plated blue dial presents the classic Santos look with Roman numerals and a date display at 6 o'clock.

The watch is delivered with a bracelet and an additional blue rubber strap and retails for $7,800.
