Glashütte Original’s Vintage Collection pays tribute to two defining design eras of the 20th century, blending precision German watchmaking with bold aesthetic cues from the 1960s and 1970s. Featuring the Sixties and Seventies lines, the collection captures the spirit of these transformative decades through distinctive case shapes, vibrant dial colors, and meticulous detailing. It goes without saying that each timepiece in the Vintage Collection is powered by an in-house mechanical movement and finished to the Saxon brand’s exacting standards, offering a modern interpretation of retro style with enduring appeal. One of its most sophisticated models from a technical perspective is the Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date, first introduced ten years ago. This mechanical statement piece combines the typical Glashütte Original Panorama Date with a flyback function. Its speciality is the digital 12-hour display that complements the 30-minute counter. There is also a power reserve aboard, harmoniously integrated in the small second sub dial.

With the debut of the Seventies ‘X’ Chronograph, a limited edition created exclusively for the North American market, Glashütte Original opens a new chapter in its celebrated line. The signature square case, 40mm x 40mm wide and water-resistant to 100 meters, frames a matte white lacquer dial, featuring two black galvanized sub dials with a fine vinyl-style pattern. Bold white indices add contrast, while a red "10" marker and the red stop-second chronograph hand commemorate the occasion.

At its core, the Seventies ‘X’ Chronograph is powered by Glashütte Original’s in-house Caliber 37-02, a fully integrated, automatic chronograph movement equipped with a column-wheel mechanism and a a skeletonized rotor. Providing a power reserve of up to 70 hours, it offers the brand's refined finishing pedigree, with beveled edges, polished screws, and Glashütte stripes on the signature three-quarter plate.

The Seventies ‘X’ Chronograph is limited the 100 pieces and includes both a rubber strap with butterfly clasp and a bracelet. Pricing is marked at $17,900.
