Kicking off the watch year 2024, German brand Laco presents four new editions of its pilot's watches Ulm and Würzburg. Named after two German cities, they are available with two diameters, 39mm and 42.5mm, and a height of 9.0mm and 10.0mm respectively.

Both feature a stainless steel case with a water-resistance rating of 100 meters, an exhibition case back and a hand-wound movement.

While the smaller executions are powered by the Sellita SW261, the larger versions use the very traditional ETA/Unitas 6498-2, which is quite rare these days. Both are finished to a high standard and show some nice details like blued screws, perlage, and Geneva Waves.

All four models have a historically inspired black pilot's dial with Superluminova on the numerals, markers and bold hands. There is, however, one difference: while the Ulm models have a classic A-type layout ("Baumuster A"), the Würzburg models are B-type ("Baumuster B"), with the hours on an inner circle and the minutes prominently displayed on an outer scale. Both models display the subsidiary seconds prominently at 6 o'clock.

The Laco Ulm and Würzburg models are attached to a brown leather strap and retail for approximately $1,400 respectively $1,840 when converted to USD.
