Meet the Bell & Ross BR-05 GMT Green Steel

Bell & Ross introduces the BR-05 GMT Green Steel, pairing the watchmaker's signature “circle within a square” design with a refined sage-green dial and a practical second-time-zone display.

Since its introduction in 2019, the BR-05 has brought a more urban interpretation to Bell & Ross’ catalogue. While the brand is best known for its cockpit-inspired pilot watches, the collection transferred its characteristic “circle within a square” motif into a sleeker, more metropolitan context. With its integrated bracelet, streamlined case, and combination of polished and satin-brushed surfaces, the BR-05 has established itself as Bell & Ross’ take on the contemporary luxury sports watch.

The new BR-05 GMT Green Steel adds a fresh color to the collection while retaining its distinctive architectural identity. Depending on the angle and the available light, the dial changes in appearance, revealing different nuances across its surface.

A Dial with Depth

The dial’s changing visual effect is the result of a multi-stage finishing process. A sunray-brushed metal base is first treated with layers of green-tinted lacquer before a clear lacquer coating is applied. Together, these layers create depth and give the color a reflective quality that becomes more pronounced as the watch moves.

Beyond its new colorway, the BR-05 GMT Green Steel retains the practical functionality of the existing GMT model, including a date indication at 3 o'clock. An independently adjustable central GMT hand displays a second time zone, while a two-tone 24-hour scale on the flange makes it easy to distinguish between daytime and nighttime hours. The design allows travelers to keep track of home time while setting the local time independently. Combined with the clear, highly legible display, the GMT function reinforces the collection’s role as an everyday travel watch designed for both urban life and journeys across time zones.

A 41mm Steel Case

The BR-05 GMT Green Steel is housed in a 41mm steel case with a water-resistance of 100 meters. Its alternating satin-brushed and polished surfaces emphasize the geometric design of the case and integrated bracelet. A sapphire crystal case back provides a view of the self-winding BR-CAL.325-1 movement (Sellita SW330 base). Paced at 28,800 vibrations per hour, it offers a power reserve of approximately 54 hours. The BR-05 GMT Green Steel is available with either a matching green rubber strap or an integrated bracelet. The version on the rubber strap is priced at $5,300, while the model on the steel bracelet retails for $5,800.
