Perrelet and IFL Watches Turn the Weekend GMT into a Hand-Painted Travelogue

Perrelet and Dubai-based IFL Watches transform the Weekend GMT into a 50-piece tribute to travel, with individually hand-painted dials, a second-time-zone display, and the in-house caliber P-401.

Perrelet has teamed up with Dubai-based dial specialist IFL Watches to introduce a new artistic interpretation of its Weekend GMT. Limited to just 50 pieces, the Weekend GMT Atlas combines the Swiss brand's in-house mechanics with IFL Watches' signature hand-painted miniature artwork, transforming each dial into a unique expression of travel and discovery.

A Different Journey on Every Dial

The defining feature is the individually hand-painted dial, which turns each watch into a miniature work of art. At the center is a compass rose, long regarded as a symbol of navigation, while the surrounding landscape brings together scenes inspired by destinations around the world. Dolphins leap through turquoise waters, lush tropical vegetation frames the composition, and the pyramids of Egypt complete the colorful panorama. Since every dial is painted by hand, no two watches are exactly alike.

The artwork is seamlessly integrated with the watch’s GMT function. A satin-finished blue 24-hour ring surrounds the central compass motif, allowing the dedicated GMT hand, with its white, red-outlined triangular tip, to display home time at a glance. Applied rhodium-plated baton markers maintain strong legibility without distracting from the artwork, while a discreet date window at 3 o’clock rounds out the practical, travel-oriented layout.

Compact Dimensions for Everyday Wear

The Weekend GMT Atlas retains the understated proportions of the collection introduced in 2019. Its stainless-steel case measures 39mm in diameter and just 9.61mm thick, combining brushed and polished finishes for a versatile appearance that works equally well in casual and more formal settings.

Offering 50 meters of water resistance, the watch comes fitted with a seven-row stainless-steel bracelet featuring alternating satin-brushed and polished surfaces. Perrelet also includes a blue leather strap with an alligator pattern, and both can be exchanged quickly through an integrated, tool-free quick-release system.

An In-House Automatic GMT Movement

Inside the case beats Perrelet’s in-house automatic caliber P-401, developed by sister company Soprod. Operating at 4 Hz, or 28,800 vibrations per hour, the movement delivers a 42-hour power reserve and features 25 jewels. Local time is displayed by the central hour and minute hands, while the independently adjustable GMT hand tracks a second time zone on the 24-hour scale, making the watch well suited to frequent travelers.

The movement is visible through a mineral-glass porthole in the screw-down caseback, which also carries a decorative engraving echoing the dial artwork and the individual limited-edition number. Visible finishing includes circular-grained bridges and an openworked, rhodium-plated oscillating weight bearing the Perrelet logo.

Pricing and Availability

The Perrelet x IFL Watches Weekend GMT Atlas is limited to 50 pieces and available now through IFL Watches, authorized Perrelet retailers, and the brand’s online store. It is priced at $3,450.
