Omega has long been a pioneer in the world of diver's watches, and for over 30 years, the Seamaster Diver 300M has remained one of the Swiss brand’s most recognizable and technically capable timepieces. This year, the brand returns to the collection with two new stainless steel references, embracing the color orange, a bold and functional design element that has been part of the brand’s DNA for decades.

The orange accent is far from a cosmetic touch. Since the early 2000s, Omega has incorporated it into several of its Seamaster models— particularly within the Planet Ocean series— where the hue enhances underwater visibility, acting as a visual aid in low-light or murky diving environments. Now, the brand introduces this vibrant and practical color to the Seamaster Diver 300M range for the first time, reinforcing the collection’s heritage while giving it a contemporary twist. These new 42 mm models arrive at an interesting time for the Diver 300M family, which has recently undergone a significant refresh. In keeping with the rest of the revamped line, these editions feature domed sapphire crystals, oxalic anodized aluminum bezels.

The case remains true to the Diver 300M’s core identity: robust and sculpted in brushed and polished stainless steel, with a unidirectional rotating bezel and the watch’s signature helium escape valve at 10 o’clock. The scalloped bezel edge is another hallmark of the Diver 300M, making it easier to grip and operate underwater. On the bezel itself, the black anodized aluminum insert is enhanced with a white Super-LumiNova 60-minute scale, ensuring maximum legibility even in pitch-black conditions. The same Super-LumiNova fills the rhodium-plated skeleton hands and raised hour markers, which emit a blue glow in the dark.

Where these models stand apart is in their color scheme, which reimagines the familiar Diver 300M format with high-contrast orange accents. The central seconds hand is finished in orange varnish, with matching quarter-hour index markers and the word “Seamaster” inscribed on the dial. The dial itself is fashioned from black anodized aluminum, offering a matte, tool-watch appearance that underscores the watch’s utilitarian ethos.

Behind the caseback’s transparent sapphire crystal lies Omega's Co-Axial Master Chronometer Caliber 8806. This self-winding movement certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS) to meet the industry’s highest standards for accuracy, performance, and magnetic resistance, withstanding fields up to 15,000 gauss. Operating at 25,200 vibrations per hour and offering a power reserve of 55 hours, the Caliber 8806 features Omega’s signature free-sprung balance with a silicon balance spring, Co-Axial escapement, and meticulous finishing such as Arabesque Waves on the oscillating mass visible through the case back.

The Seamaster Diver 300M is available with two distinct strap configurations. One is equipped with a brushed stainless steel mesh bracelet and priced at $6,800, and the second comes standard on a bright orange rubber strap, with its pricing marked at $6,500.
