While many vintage-inspired designs draw from the 1950s to 1970s, the La Petite Seconde Metropolis Green by Louis Erard x The Horophile takes its cues from the 1920s New York. This was a decade marked by rapid growth and architectural innovation, heavily influenced by the Art Deco movement. Known for its geometric shapes, bold lines, and decorative details, Art Deco is prominently featured in many of New York’s iconic buildings of that era, with the Empire State Building being one of the most famous examples. The La Petite Seconde Metropolis Green pays homage to this architectural landmark with meticulous detail.

This special edition is based on Louis Erard’s Petite Seconde, a contemporary classic housed in a compact 39mm stainless steel case with a height of 12.8mm. The case frames a deep green dial adorned with concentric grooves that add texture and contrast. Silver-colored hands stand out against the dial, with their tips designed to mimic the shape of the Empire State Building. At six o'clock, the small seconds subdial, finished with a sunburst pattern, takes center stage. The double-lined Arabic numerals echo the Art Deco aesthetic, completing the watch’s distinctive look.

Inside, the watch is powered by the Sellita SW261-1 movement in Elaboré grade, offering a 38-hour power reserve. The self-winding movement features a personalized rotor visible through the transparent case back. The beige grained calf leather strap enhances the La Petite Seconde Metropolis Green's timeless elegance.

The watch is priced at $2,712 (excl. taxes).
