Oris Gives the Divers Date a Vintage-Military Twist

With the new olive-green Divers Date, Oris adds a field-watch-inspired flavor to its classic dive watch lineup. The 39mm automatic diver pairs military-tinged color cues with a ceramic bezel, 200-meter water resistance, and two straps.

Oris continues to expand its retro-inspired Divers Date  with a new olive-green edition that nods to vintage military equipment while staying true to the brand’s 1965 dive-watch heritage. With a diameter of 39mm and a 200-meter water resistance, the automatic timepiece arrives as a versatile everyday diver, equally suited to underwater use and casual wear.

A Date with Dive History

The Divers Date has become one of Oris’s most versatile sports collections, channeling the spirit of the brand’s historic dive watches into a modern everyday companion. At the center of the release is a clean matte olive-green dial that gives the familiar favorite a more utilitarian character than previous color variants. The applied hour markers and hands are filled with Superluminova, including the “lollipop” seconds hand, a traditional dive-watch feature that allows the wearer to confirm the watch is running in low-light underwater conditions. As stated in the name, there is a date indication. Purists may favor a sans-date layout for its uncompromising focus on diving functionality, but many wearers welcome the convenience of a date indication in daily life. In the Divers Date, Oris places the date aperture subtly at 6 o’clock, where it blends harmoniously into the overall design.

Built for Land, Sea, and Everyday Wear

Housed in a 39mm multi-piece stainless-steel case, the Divers Date is sized for broad appeal and everyday comfort. Measuring 12.1mm thick with a lug-to-lug distance of 46.5mm, it balances robust dive-watch credentials with wearable proportions. A unidirectional rotating bezel fitted with a black ceramic insert allows for the timing of dives or any event lasting up to 60 minutes. The screw-down crown and screw-in caseback contribute to the watch’s water resistance of 200 meters (20 bar), while a domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on the inner surface protects the dial.

Powering the watch behind an exhibition case back is the Oris Caliber 733, an automatic movement based on a proven Sellita architecture. Operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and equipped with an instantaneous date change and quick-set correction as well as a stop-seconds function, it delivers a power reserve of 41 hours.

Bracelet and Strap Included

The new Divers Date is delivered on a bracelet equipped with a folding clasp and Oris’s quick strap change system, allowing owners to switch straps without tools. A black rubber strap with a steel buckle is included in the package, providing a sportier alternative for water-based activities. Availability is scheduled for July 2026, with a retail price of CHF will be available beginning in July 2026 with a retail price of CHF2,450 or approximately $3,014 when converted to USD.
