Porsche Design Revs Up with Custom-Built Chronograph 911 Turbo S

Porsche Design extends its custom-built Timepieces program with a chronograph that reflects the aesthetics and engineering spirit of the 911 Turbo S. Porsche Design's custom-built Timepieces program offers Porsche drivers, fans, and enthusiasts the opportunity to design their personal “sports car for the wrist.” Introduced in 2020, the unique watch configurator – based on the Porsche Car Configurator – is now being expanded with additional options, perfectly matched to the new 911 Turbo S. As one of the most exclusive sports cars from Zuffenhausen, Germany, it exerts a magnetic pull on Porsche enthusiasts worldwide. With the new custom-built Chronograph 911 Turbo S, Porsche Design brings its charisma to the wrist. Taking inspiration from the glare-free cockpit of the Porsche 911 Turbo S, the new black dial ensures optimal legibility from any angle and in all lighting conditions. It is accented with design elements in Turbonite, a custom-made color that was developed in close collaboration with Pantone, a first in the automotive world. In addition to Turbonite, the color ring framing the dial can be chosen in any exterior paint color available for the Turbo S, including the shades from the “Paint to Sample” program. Otherwise, the luminesecent dial features the characteristic layout with three sub dials and a date display. Equally distinctive is the tachymeter scale, designed for measuring speeds.

The watch is housed in a 42mm titanium case with black titanium carbide coating. Its water-resistance is rated to 50 meters. Inside ticks Porsche Design's self-winding caliber Werk 01.200, a chronograph movement developed in-house and certified by COSC. It incorporates a flyback function, underscoring its focus on precision timing. The sapphire case back reveals a view of this motor that stirs the passion of every Porsche enthusiast. The rotor echoes the wheel designs of the 911 Turbo S and carries the Porsche crest in Turbonite. With a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and a 48-hour power reserve, the movement combines technical performance with visual detail. The case back also offers space for personal engraving, whether initials, a license plate number, or the vehicle identification number of the matching car.

The strap is also fully aligned with Porsche’s design DNA. Made from original Porsche vehicle leather and finished with stitching from the same yarn used in the car’s interior, it offers the full spectrum of colors and options available for the Porsche Car Configurator. An exclusive option for this chronograph is hot stamping with the “Turbo S” signature – a discreet detail that brings the model’s performance credentials to the wrist.
