Introducing the Tudor 1926 Luna

In a surprising yet elegant debut, Tudor has introduced the first moon-phase complication in its history. Available in three tasteful color choices distinguished by fine details, the Tudor Luna 1926 does not disappoint.

The new 1926 Luna builds on the refined design codes of the 1926 collection, a line that pays homage to the year the brand name Tudor was registered by Rolex founder Hans Wilsdorf as technically refined yet accessible in price. Characterized by subtle elegance and fine detailing, the collection offers domed sunray-brushed dials with applied numerals, faceted and arrow-shaped hour markers, and dots for the minutes. Color-coordinated slim hands tell the time, while there is a discreet date window at 3 o'clock. Naturally, the star of the show ist the moon-phase indication, which takes center stage at 6 o'clock, with the celestial body depicted on a night sky with an entourage of stars.

Tudor introduces three dial colors—black, blue, and champagne—each framed by a thin and polished bezel. The champagne dial, created with input from Taiwanese musician and brand ambassador Jay Chou hailed as the “King of Asian Pop” stands out for its warm sophistication and tasteful originality, while the black and blue executions offer timeless versatility. The moon phase indicator for each dial is distinct, and Jay’s vision for the champagne-hued dial comes to life in a particularly mythical way, with the phantom moonlight gold disc representing the moon hidden behind an inky black cutout that slowly disappears as the moon waxes and wanes.

The Tudor 1926 Luna arrives in a versatile 39-mm polished case crafted from 316L stainless steel which is water-resistant to 100 meters. Inside ticks the Sellita-based caliber T607-9 with a power reserve of 38 hours. Attached to a polished and satin-brushed seven-link bracelet, the Tudor 1926 Luna is priced at $2,800.
