Zenith continues to build on its legacy of technical innovation and vintage-inspired design with the launch of a new rose gold version of its Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar. Introduced in 2024 in stainless steel, the watch now takes on a more luxurious tone with an 18-carat pink gold case set against a sleek black dial— a tasteful combination that underscores the Swiss manufacture's savoir-faire in design and mechanical sophistication.

The Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar's origins go back to the early 70s, reviving one of the lesser-known yet historically significant versions of the El Primero movement that was originally conceived in 1969 to support not only chronograph functions, but also a complete calendar and moonphase complication.

The latest model stays true to that vision, powered by the legendary El Primero 3610 caliber. Operating at 5Hz (36,000 vibrations per hour), the movement delivers precise chronograph readings to 1/10th of a second, with a central hand that completes a revolution in just ten seconds. Despite the added complexity of a complete calendar mechanism, the El Primero 3160 maintains a 60-hour power reserve. The sapphire case back reveals its beautiful architecture, including a blue column wheel and a star-shaped oscillating weight.

Housed in a 38mm case— a direct homage to the original A386— the watch features pump-style pushers, a raised box sapphire crystal protecting the dial, and tapered lugs, keeping proportions compact and faithful to its vintage roots. The dial layout is symmetrical and highly legible: weekday and month windows sit above the grooved sub dials at 11 and 2 o’clock, while the date window is placed at 4:30. The moonphase display, with the disc and stars harmoniously mirroring the color scheme, is cleverly integrated into the 60-minute chronograph register at 6 o’clock.

What sets this version apart is its use of contrasting materials and finishes. The deep black dial, paired with rose gold-plated hands and markers coated with SuperLuminova, enhances both legibility and luxury. The black calfskin strap with a matching rose gold folding clasp completes the refined aesthetic.

Available now at Zenith boutiques, authorized retailers, and online, the Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar is priced at $26,300.
