Ready for New Adventures: Doxa Brings Back the SUB 250T GMT

By popular demand from its global fanbase, Swiss watchmaker Doxa has unveiled a new generation of its iconic dive watch, now with GMT functionality. After nearly two decades, the sought-after GMT feature returns to the SUB collection, offering both nostalgia and modernity in one sleek package.

The SUB 250T GMT is a contemporary take on its predecessor from 2006. The original was known for its colorful variations, including the iconic Professional in orange, the black Sharkhunter, the blue Caribbean, and the striking yellow Divingstar.

The reissued SUB 250T GMT comes in these same Doxa signature colors, along with five additional options, such as the silver-hued Searambler. The updated design preserves the legendary aesthetics of the SUB collection while adding a fresh, modern twist.

Among the new offerings, a special edition of the Sharkhunter features a stunning dark dial with a gradient effect— a first for the Swiss brand. This limited edition evokes the early Sharkhunter models, combining historical white hands with a contemporary vintage vibe.

The SUB 250T GMT is not just about cool looks; it’s designed for functionality, too. Along with the classic time display, the watch also features a date complication at the 3 o'clock position and, of course, the GMT function. This allows you to track two time zones at a glance— one of the most popular complications in the world of high-end mechanical watches. The GMT feature comes to life by using the skeletonized hand pointing to the 24-hour scale at the flange of the dial, distinct from the hour, minute, and second hands, which are all designed for optimal legibility. All hands, including the GMT hand, are filled with Superluminova for enhanced visibility in low light.

The patented unidirectional diving bezel remains a staple of the SUB collection, ensuring safe and easy operation underwater.

The SUB 250T GMT strikes the delicate balance between functionality, comfort, and wrist presence with a 40mm case diameter and a moderate height of 10.8mm. It boasts a water resistance of 250 meters, making it fully capable for diving adventures. Powering the watch is a Sellita-based automatic movement, offering a solid 50-hour power reserve.

The SUB 250T GMT is reasonably priced, starting at $2,450 with a rubber strap and $2,490 with the historically-inspired "rice grain" bracelet.
