New Colors, New Size: Nomos Glashütte Expands the Club Sport neomatik Collection
Originally introduced in 2019, the Club Sport line transformed the Glashütte-based manufacturer’s entry-level Club into a robust sports watch with a dive-ready water resistance of 200 meters. Initially launched in a bold 42mm stainless steel case, the Club Sport neomatik has steadily evolved to include smaller sizes, making it more accessible to smaller wrists. In 2022, Nomos Glashütte added a variant with 37mm, a year later a case option with a 39.5mm joined the duo.
For 2024, the brand introduces its smallest and most versatile Club Sport to date: the Club Sport neomatik 34. Available in three captivating dial colors, this new iteration retains the athletic qualities of its larger siblings – a sleek yet sturdy case architecture with a height of just 8.2mm, a highly legible dial and a top-notch metal bracelet – all within a more compact and wearable form. In addition, the case, which is available with a sapphire crystal or a closed case back, sports a special crown design with a signature red “warning” ring that alerts the wearer if not properly secured.
Like its predecessors, the Club Sport 34 is equipped with beautiful sunburst-finished dials with an azuré-textured subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o'clock. All of them are furnished with a mix of slightly recessed Arabic numerals and indices for the hours filled with a blue-emitting glow Superluminova for enhanced visibility. The same rings true for the rhodium-plated hour and minute hands.
The new Club Sport neomatik 34 trio is powered by the tried-and-tested DUW 3001 manufacture movement. This self-winding caliber with a power reserve of 43 hours is equipped with the brand’s proprietary Swing System escapement and DUW regulation system. Measuring just 3.2mm high, it is beautifully decorated with perlage, Glashütte ribbing, and blued screws.
The Club Sport neomatik is priced at $3,060 when purchased with a solid case back and at $3,360 with an exhibition case back.
