While the plethora of introductions at Watches and Wonders 2024 were additions to existing collections, Hermès surprised with an entirely new watch collection, the Hermès Cut. With a modest diameter of 36 millimeters, the women's casual three-handed stainless steel timepiece could also appeal to aficionados who appreciate slim and elegant proportions and an aura of nonchalance.

Thanks to its stunning shape, a "circle within a circle" as the French Maison describes it, it is sure to make a grand entrance on any wrist. In addition to its charming shape, the Cut has many other typical Hermès features, such as the boldly applied Arabic numerals, which are coated with Superluminova for easy reading in all light conditions.

The same goes for the rhodium-plated baton hands, the hour and minute hands with rounded tips, and the seconds hand with a dot that sweeps across the inner minute track. The crown, located at the 1:30 position, adds a surprising element to the unmistakable design.

As befits a modern luxury watch with a sporty edge, the Cut comes with an interchangeable strap system that allows the wearer to choose between a polished and satinized three-link bracelet and a rubber strap available in eight different colors.

While the design of the Cut exudes a certain style that is very French, the mechanics are of the best Swiss descent. At the heart of the watch is the H1912 self-winding movement with a 50-hour power reserve. The circular-grained and snailed main plate, the satin-brushed bridges and oscillating weight, the signature "H"s sprinkling are a beauty to behold.

Water-resistant to 100 meters, the Hermès Cut is available in stainless steel, stainless steel & rose gold and in a two-tone version with a diamond bezel. Prices start at $6,725 for the rubber strap version. The bracelet version has a sticker price of $7,350.
