As the second timepiece in a series celebrating the full moons of the year, Swatch introduces the Mission to Earthphase – Moonshine Gold, a watch that combines playful storytelling with innovative watchmaking. Available exclusively on September 8, 2025, the model features a unique moonphase complication adorned with Omega Moonshine Gold, Snoopy illustrations, and a harvest-inspired design that nods to the September full moon, traditionally known as the Harvest or Corn Moon.

The Mission to Earthphase – Moonshine Gold stands out with its moonphase display at 2 o’clock, where two full moons plated in Omega’s proprietary Moonshine Gold take center stage. One of them is crafted in the unmistakable style of the Snoopy universe, while the other recalls the golden hue of the Harvest Moon. In a playful twist, the surface is decorated with popcorn-shaped kernels and a red-striped popcorn box, symbolizing both the abundance of the season and the power of imagination, much like popcorn kernels bursting into form under the right conditions.

Complementing the moonphase is the Swatch-exclusive “Earthphase” display at 10 o’clock. First introduced in 2024, this complication shows a rotating Earth with UV-coated oceans against a starry background. Interestingly, the Earthphase and moonphase indicators run on the same 29.5-day cycle but in opposite directions: when one shows fullness, the other reveals absence. At 9 o’clock, Snoopy and Woodstock appear seated on the Moon, gazing back at Earth. Under UV light, hidden inscriptions honor the pioneering spirit of the Moonwatch and the limitless potential of creativity.

The Mission to Earthphase – Moonshine Gold features a 42mm case made of dark navy Bioceramic, a sustainable blend of ceramic and bio-sourced materials. Inside, a quartz chronograph caliber drives the central chronograph seconds, along with the dual moonphase and Earthphase complications. The watch is fitted with a navy-blue rubber Velcro strap, complemented by a Bioceramic loop. The caseback features an Earth-inspired design along with the engraved mission statement of the Bioceramic MoonSwatch collection.
