As we race into 2025, IWC Schaffhausen kicks off 2025 with an exciting milestone: the release of the Pilot’s Watch Mark XX Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team. This limited-edition timepiece celebrates the collaboration between IWC and the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team that was initiated in 2013. The Pilot’s Watch Mark XX is the second official team watch created for the prestigious motorsport giant, and it reflects a shared commitment to precision, innovation, and design.

Water-resistant to 100 meters and measuring 40mm x 10.6mm, the case of the Pilot’s Watch Mark XX is made from grade 5 titanium, a material chosen for its superior strength and light weight. With the highest strength-to-density ratio of any metal, titanium is also widely used in the automotive industry to produce parts that face extreme stress, like engine valves. The sandblasted finish gives the watch a subtle grayish hue that contrasts beautifully against the black dial.

Like in the previous edition, the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Edition “Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team,” it is furnished with numerals, indices, and hands in the signature Petronas green, with Superluminova coating for nighttime readability. There is also a color-coordinated date indication on board.

At the heart of the Pilot’s Watch Mark XX is the IWC-manufactured 32111 caliber. This self-winding movement has a frequency of 28,800 vph and offers an impressive 120-hour power reserve. It ticks behind an engraved closed case back.
