Mauron Musy Introduces the MU09 NODE° to the U.S. Collector Community
A closer look at Mauron Musy’s U.S. debut for the MU09 NODE°
Mauron Musy occupies a distinctive place in independent watchmaking. The Swiss maison, founded in 2013 by Christophe Musy and Eric Mauron, has built much of its identity around a technical idea that sounds simple, but certainly is not, in creating water-resistant timepieces without conventional gaskets.
That idea became nO-Ring, the brand’s patented mechanical sealing system, and it has defined Mauron Musy since the beginning. With the new MU09 NODE°, however, the story expands from the case to the watch as a whole. The haute horlogerie model introduces the brand’s proprietary Calibre MM03 micro-rotor movement, its first integrated bracelet, and a more complete expression of Mauron Musy’s engineering-led approach to independent watchmaking.
The watch was recently presented to U.S. collectors during a pair of private events in Miami and New York, where Musy appeared in person to introduce the MU09 NODE° and speak with guests about the brand’s origins, technical philosophy, and next steps in the American market. The New York gathering included an informal conversation with Musy that traced the company’s path from a sealing-system challenge into a fully realized independent watch brand.
“It’s a pleasure to be here in the United States, a market which represents one of the most important communities for independent watchmaking today,” said Christophe Musy, co-founder and CEO of Mauron Musy. “Collectors here are deeply engaged, curious, and open to brands built on authenticity and technical conviction. Presenting NODE° in New York and Miami allowed us to share not only our first manufacture watch, but the spirit of Mauron Musy. The connections forged here will help shape our future in this market.”
The American collector series comes as Mauron Musy works to establish a more direct relationship with U.S. clients. Alongside the events, the brand introduced its USA Pioneers Society, a collector program created for the first 30 U.S. buyers who help establish Mauron Musy’s presence in the market. Members are expected to receive early access to new releases and limited editions, invitations to private events and experiences, priority service, select special commission opportunities, and direct communication with the brand.
That kind of access has become increasingly important in independent watchmaking, where collectors often look for a closer connection to the people and ideas behind the watches. For a brand like Mauron Musy, which produces approximately 300 watches per year, the relationship with early collectors is especially meaningful.
“Collectors are an essential part of the Mauron Musy story,” said Lior Arussy, co-founder and managing partner of FundTime LLC. “The USA Pioneers Society is not simply a recognition program, but a commitment to building direct, lasting relationships with the first U.S. supporters who connected with the maison’s independent spirit early on.”
The MU09 NODE° gives the brand a fitting vehicle for that effort. The watch is housed in a 41mm Grade 5 titanium case measuring 13mm thick, with 200 meters of water resistance achieved through Mauron Musy’s gasket-free sealing system. It is also the first model from the brand to use an integrated Grade 5 titanium bracelet, combining polished, microblasted, and satin-finished surfaces with a butterfly clasp. A rubber strap with folding clasp is also included.
Inside is the Calibre MM03, Mauron Musy’s proprietary self-winding micro-rotor movement. Composed of 232 components and 32 jewels, the caliber runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and delivers a 96-hour power reserve by way of a tungsten micro-rotor. The movement is partially visible through the semi-open dial, with the balance bridge and small seconds positioned at 9 o’clock.
The result is a watch that feels deliberately technical without leaning entirely on exposed mechanics. Central hours and minutes keep the display relatively direct, while the asymmetrical movement view gives the dial its character. The Calibre MM03 also features a Swiss lever escapement, a free-sprung balance with inertia screws, and traditional chaton settings for its large-jewel bearings.
The collection is offered in three references: MU09-101 with an anthracite ruthenium grained dial, MU09-102 with a silver grained dial, and MU09-103 with a sunburst blue dial. Each version is available with either solid 18k rose-gold or rhodium-plated hands.
The U.S. events follow Mauron Musy’s strategic partnership with FundTime LLC, which has taken an equity position in the brand and now serves as its exclusive distributor for the American market. For a small independent with a highly specific technical identity, that structure supports the brand’s effort to broaden awareness in the United States while maintaining a direct, relationship-driven approach to collectors.
With the MU09 NODE°, Mauron Musy brings together its case technology, movement development, and bracelet design in one model. The brand’s recent presentations in Miami and New York point to a broader effort to make that story more visible to American collectors, particularly those drawn to independent watchmaking, technical originality, and direct brand access.
The Mauron Musy MU09 NODE° is available in a limited allocation of 100 pieces in 2026. Pricing is listed at CHF 48,000.
