Greubel Forsey continues their legacy of tourbillon innovation with a timepiece that is breathtaking both in mechanics and design, the Tourbillon 24 Secondes Architecture.

As the name suggests, the titanium watch features a convex and conical shaped case that was created in order to highlight the beautiful haute horlogerie movement it houses. While it looks perfectly round when observed from the dial side, it reveals its convex shape from other angles, along with its large synthetic sapphire crystal ring which spans over the entire periphery of the caseband.

The independent watch brand has been integrating lateral sapphire crystal apertures since as early as 2007, but has never before rendered a movement visible from above, below, and from every angle. And what a pleasure it is to look at this manual-winding caliber with a power reserve of 90 hours.

In addition to the time display with small seconds at the eight o'clock position, there is also a power reserve display at three o'clock. At 6 o'clock, the 25-degree inclined tourbillon revolves under a curved and polished titanium bridge and completes a rotation every 24 seconds. The case itself measures 47mm in diameter and is water resistant to 50 meters.

Retailing at $500,000 USD, the Greubel Forsey Tourbillon 24 Secondes Architecture is limited to 11 pieces this year, and then 18 pieces per year from 2023 to 2025 for a total of 65 overall.
