With the recent introduction of a new case size, Chopard's Alpine Eagle collection now offers a complete range of its two-tone timepiece with a Bernina Grey dial. Available in three diameters of 33, 36 and 41mm respectively, the Alpine Eagle in Lucent Steel A223 and ethical 18-carat rose gold adapts to any wrist. Combining performance with technical and aesthetic savoir-faire, all models are equipped with chronometer-certified movements developed and manufactured in-house.

In creating a two-tone version of the Alpine Eagle timepiece, the manufacture's workshops have combined two precious metals reflecting the ethical approach to which Chopard is committed: Lucent Steel A223 and ethical 18-carat rose gold. The former is a highly dermo-compatible, ultra-resistant and highly luminous Chopard-exclusive steel alloy composed of 70% recycled material.

The rose gold is 100% ethically sourced in keeping with Chopard’s July 2018 formal commitment to this principle for all its gold watch and jewelry creations. As one of the rare manufactures to have had its own precious metal smelting workshop for several decades, Chopard is able to control its value chain in order to offer creations conveying the hope of a more rational world.

One characteristic of this nature-inspired collection are the textured dials with a radiating pattern evoking an eagle’s iris. The two-tone line up feature a dial in Bernina Grey, evoking the color of the rocks of the eponymous mountain range. This hue strikes an elegant contrast with the gilded numerals, hour-markers and hands indicating the time. Apart from the new case size of 33mm and the new dial colorway, the latest trio of the line which was first introduced in 2019 features the signature elements, such as a round case with stylised flanks, a crown engraved with a compass rose, a bezel with eight functional indexed screws and an integrated metal bracelet.

The Alpine Eagle 41 is powered by Chopard's caliber 01.01-C. Featuring a stop-seconds function ensuring accurate time-setting, it is equipped with a date disc and guarantees a comfortable 60-hour power reserve.

The Alpine Eagle 33 and 36 versions are driven by Chopard's 09.01-C movement, with a 42-hour power reserve. Also equipped with a stop-seconds function, this 9-ligne movement is one of the smallest to earn C.O.S.C.-chronometer certification.

Pricing for the new bicolor Chopard Alpine Eagle models are as follows: Alpine Eagle 33mm: $14,000, Alpine Eagle 36mm: $16,800, Alpine Eagle 41mm: $21,200.
