Ahead of Watches and Wonders 2025, Nomos Glashütte introduces an update in the literal sense of the word to its Minimatik collection, the Minimatik 39 Date. The watch will be available in three executions, two with a silver-pated dial and one with a blue watch face. All of them feature a distinct gold framed date indication at 3 o'clock, which is provided by the DUW 4601 caliber featuring the brand's patented date mechanism with quick adjustment.

So far, the Minimatik family, which was introduced as a fine example of a thin and refined dress watch in 2014, has just comprised of time-only watches. Its signature elements are the subsidiary seconds at 6 o'clock, the somewhat rounded font of its Arabic numerals, and a slim bezel allowing the slightly curved dial to fully shine.

The three newcomers add a date indication to the ensemble. While not a large date per se, the indication is quite prominent thanks to the clever date mechanism of the hand-wound DUW 4601 movement, which provides a comfortable power reserve of 52 hours. While the Minimatik 39 Date's silver-plated dial is furnished with rhodium-plated hands, the Minimatik 39 Date Gold has gold-colored hands. As dubbed in the name, the Minimatik 39 Date Gold boasts a blue dial. Here the hands are also rhodium-plated and forgo with an additional gold accent.

The stainless steel case is conical in shape and tapers towards the top, with the sapphire crystal softly curved. It measures 39.5mm x 7.5mm. The slender height is possible thanks to the likewise slim built of the DUW 4601 which is just 2.8mm thick. It showcases particularly impressive finishings with a sunbeam ribbing, which radiates from the Nomos swing system onto the surrounding date plate, taking center stage.
