RGM Introduces the Model 151 “Snoopy Flying Ace” with Grand Feu Enamel Dial

RGM brings Snoopy’s World War I Flying Ace persona to its aviation-inspired Model 151, with a grand feu enamel dial leading the new release.

RGM Watch Company this month introduces the Model 151 “Snoopy Flying Ace,” a new aviation-inspired watch featuring the Peanut’s Snoopy in his familiar World War I Flying Ace persona. The release pairs one of the most recognizable characters in American pop culture with one of the more traditional and demanding decorative techniques in watchmaking: grand feu enamel.

The highlight of the new model is its white grand feu enamel dial, which RGM says is believed to be the first true grand feu enamel dial depicting Snoopy. Produced through a multi-stage process in which layers of enamel are applied and fired at high temperatures, the dial has a glass-like surface and a sense of depth distinct from painted or printed alternatives. The artwork, including Snoopy, his red doghouse, and the surrounding clouds, is fired into the enamel rather than simply applied to the surface. For those looking for a more accessible version, RGM is also offering the design with a light blue metal dial.

The watch is based on RGM’s Model 151, a pilot-style design known for its thin bezel, large dial opening, and relatively slim profile. The stainless steel case measures 38.5mm and is machined near RGM’s Mount Joy, Pennsylvania workshop before being hand-finished in-house. Stainless steel versions of the Model 151 can be ordered with polished, brushed, or mixed finishing, while titanium cases in the broader 151 family are offered with a brushed finish only.

Inside is the RGM-Sellita SW300-1 automatic movement. The Swiss-made caliber features a rhodium-plated finish with côtes de Genève and perlage decoration, and offers a stated power reserve of 52 to 56 hours.

Founded in 1992 by Roland G. Murphy, RGM remains one of the best-known names in American watchmaking. The Pennsylvania-based company produces roughly 400 watches per year, many of them bespoke, and has built its reputation around traditional techniques including engine turning, hand finishing, enamel work, and in-house movement production. With the Model 151 “Snoopy Flying Ace,” the brand brings that craft-focused approach to a lighter and more playful subject, while keeping the execution firmly within RGM’s wheelhouse.

The RGM Model 151 “Snoopy Flying Ace” is priced from $3,950 in stainless steel with the light blue metal dial and $4,950 in titanium. The grand feu enamel version is priced at $8,950 in stainless steel and $9,950 in titanium. The watch is available directly through RGM Watch Company.
