Oris Refines Its Professional Diver Concept with the New AquisPro 1000m

The latest addition to Oris’s tool watch lineup balances professional performance with everyday versatility.

Two years after introducing the AquisPro 4000m, Oris presents a more compact yet quite capable evolution of its professional diver, the  AquisPro 1000m. While not water-resistant to 4,000 meters, it offers the robust engineering expected from a serious dive instrument, but in dimensions that make it more comfortable for daily use on dry land.

While the AquisPro 1000m still guarantees water resistance to an impressive 1,000 meters (100 bar), its reduced height of 16.6 mm— down from 23.4 mm— makes a substantial difference in daily wearability. The large diameter of fully 49.5mm remains, preserving the collection’s commanding presence, yet the design feels more balanced and versatile.

The case is crafted from lightweight titanium and, unlike its predecessor, finished in a dark gray PVD coating. The black wave-pattern dial is surrounded by a subtle matte edge and features applied hour markers filled with Super-LumiNova. For optimal readability in dark conditions, the minute hand and the first 15 minutes of the diver's bezel glow in bright blue, while the remaining markers shine green. The bezel itself integrates Oris’ proprietary Rotation Safety System (RSS), which prevents accidental adjustment by allowing rotation only when the outer ring is lifted.

Inside beats the Oris Caliber 733, based on the tried-and-tested Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement with a 41-hour power reserve. The AquisPro 1000m is supplied with two interchangeable rubber straps— one in blue to match the dial, the other in black— along with a dedicated tool for easy strap changes. Both attach seamlessly to the 26.3mm lugs, underscoring the watch’s solid, purposeful construction.
