Longines Launches HydroConquest Commonwealth Games Edition for Glasgow 2026

To mark the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, Longines introduces a limited-edition version of the HydroConquest. Available in two sizes and limited to 2,026 pieces each, the diver’s watch adopts the vibrant color palette of the sporting event while highlighting the brand’s long-standing role as official timekeeper.

Since 1962, Longines has served as Official Timekeeper of the Commonwealth Games. For the 2026 edition in Glasgow, the Swiss watchmaker is celebrating that long-running partnership with a dedicated HydroConquest special edition. Produced in two versions — 39mm and 42mm — the watch combines the robust specifications of the modern HydroConquest collection with design details inspired by the visual identity of the Games. The Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games are set to begin on July 23 and will bring together around 3,000 athletes from 74 nations and territories competing across ten sports disciplines. The event will also feature the largest Para sport program in Commonwealth Games history.

The HydroConquest has become one of the core sports collections within the Longines lineup. Designed as a modern dive watch, it incorporates the expected professional features, including water resistance to 300 meters, a unidirectional rotating bezel for dive timing, luminous hands and markers, and a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides. Additional functional elements include a screw-down crown and a double-security folding clasp. The stainless-steel case is paired with a black rubber strap equipped with a micro-adjustment system integrated into the clasp.

What distinguishes this Commonwealth Games edition from the standard collection is its dial execution. The lacquered dial, complete with a date display at 3 o’clock, transitions from turquoise at the center to black around the outer edge. Color accents reference the official palette of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games logo: the “HydroConquest” signature appears in violet, while the tip of the seconds hand is rendered in bright pink. Legibility remains central to the design. Large hands and applied hour markers are coated with Super-LumiNova for visibility in low-light conditions and underwater. The unidirectional bezel features a black ceramic insert with turquoise numerals, while the luminous capsule at 12 o’clock is also treated with luminous material.

Inside the watch beats the exclusive Longines caliber L888.5, an automatic movement operating at a frequency of 25,200 vibrations per hour. The movement is equipped with a silicon balance spring, improving both resistance to magnetic fields and long-term rate stability. The power reserve is rated at approximately 72 hours, allowing the watch to continue running throughout an entire weekend off the wrist. Turning the watch over reveals a screw-down case back engraved with the official Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games logo alongside the inscription “LIMITED EDITION – ONE OF 2026.”
