For its 70th anniversary, Circula dives deep into its archives to unveil the second limited edition of its AquaSport II collection. With a meticulous eye for detail and a modern technical upgrade, the storied Pforzheim-based manufacturer brings back the spirit of a 1970s Skin Diver— a decade that marked the golden age of dive watches. These timepieces symbolized adventure, independence, and the freedom to explore, made possible by the engineering ingenuity of their era. The new AquaSport II Original LE faithfully reproduces the dial layout of the original model, including the distinctive shade of blue that has subtly aged to violet over the decades. Designed with pure functionality and legibility in mind, the dial combines bold hour markers and hands coated with Super-LumiNova for excellent nighttime visibility. A domed sapphire crystal with multiple internal anti-reflective coatings enhances readability while adding to the watch’s vintage charm. A color-matched date window at 6 o’clock completes the harmonious composition.

The cushion-shaped stainless-steel case (316L) is water-resistant to 200 meters, featuring a screw-down crown and solid caseback for secure sealing. Its unidirectional sapphire bezel clicks precisely into 120 positions, reinforcing the tool-watch feel. Inside beats the reliable Swiss automatic movement Sellita SW200-1 in Elaboré grade, carefully adjusted for accuracy. The case back bears an engraving inspired by Circula’s historic Skin Diver models.

Completing the retro look is a black tropic-style rubber strap or a rice-grain stainless-steel bracelet—both equipped with quick-release systems for easy interchangeability. The Circula AquaSport II Original Limited Edition is available from 940 euros or approximately $1,100 when converted to USD.
