Zenith unveils the Defy Skyline Chronograph at this year's Watches and Wonders. A first in the collection, the watch is equipped with the manufacture’s latest iteration of the El Primero automatic high-frequency chronograph calibre and endowed with a 1/10th of a second chronograph function.

The 42.5 mm wide and 100 meter water-resistant octagonal steel case features a multi-sided bezel, with the construction opting for a combination of polished and satin surfaces; its pushers follow the contours of the case.

Available in metallic black, blue, or silver, the dial of the Defy Skyline Chronograph combines the collection's signature starry sky pattern with engraved four-pointed stars in the traditional El Primero dial configuration. Three prominent and slightly overlapping counters display the chronograph's elapsed seconds and minutes, as well as the running seconds. The date window – in the same color as the dial – is positioned at 4:30, an El Primero signature. The flange ring with its 1/10th of a second scale has twelve facets in the shape of the dodecagonal bezel and serves as an extension of the hour markers.

At the heart of the Defy Skyline ticks the self-winding El Primero 3600 caliber that beats at 5Hz (36,000 vibrations per hour) and is visible through the exhibition case back. Its open star-shaped oscillating weight with bidirectional winding efficiently provides a power reserve of 60 hours.

The three newcomers feature an integrated quick strap-change mechanism and come with an additional star-rubber strap.

Pricing for the Zenith Defy Skyline Chronograph is marked at $13,400.
