Tudor today announced a new iteration of the iconic Black Bay Chrono with a blue dial. The exclusive boutique edition in "Tudor Blue" with strongly contrasting silver counters adds a very distinctive touch to this chronograph, which combines the brand's decades of technical expertise in both motorsport timing, such as the collectors' favorite blue "Montecarlo" Oysterdate Chronograph, and diving watches, with the famous blue "Snowflake" Tudor Submariner at the forefront. In addition, the brand prides itself of incorporating blue dials into all the lines of its collection.

Staying true to the Black Bay aesthetic, the Black Bay Chrono Blue adopts the famous "snowflake" hands, a signature of the brand's diver's watches since 1969, in a version honed to ensure optimal readability on its blue domed dial with two hollowed silver sub-counters. Inspired by the first generation of Tudor chronographs, the dial layout includes a 45-minute counter and a date aperture positioned at 6 o'clock. The recognizable features of the Black Bay line–satin-brushed and polished surfaces, beveled lugs and a crown signed with a Tudor rose–are preserved in a 41mm diameter steel case which is water resistant to 200 meters. Typical of the brand's attention to detail, the design of the stainless steel pushers is inspired by the very first generation of Tudor chronographs. Completing the look and function of this sporty chronograph is a fixed stainless steel bezel with a blue anodized aluminum tachymetric scale insert.

At the heart of the watch is the manufacture chronograph caliber MT5813, which displays the hours, minutes, seconds, chronograph and date functions. Its tungsten monobloc rotor is openworked and satin-brushed with sandblasted details, and its bridges and mainplate alternate sandblasted and polished surfaces with laser decorations. It has a 70-hour power reserve and is equipped with an anti-magnetic silicon balance-spring.

The new Black Bay Chrono model comes fitted on a 5-link stainless-steel bracelet with Tudor “T-fit” rapid adjustment clasp. Easy to use, requiring no tools and offering five positions, this practical system allows wearers to carry out a fine, instant adjustment of the total length of the bracelet along an adjustment window of eight millimeters. The clasp also features ceramic ball bearings that ensure a smooth and secure closure.

Pricing is marked at $5,675.
