The 2025 edition of the Tour de France comes with an unexpected twist: cycling legend Fabian Cancellara returns to the world’s most prestigious race— this time not in the peloton, but in the "team car," as a team manager. To mark this occasion, Tudor is honoring the Swiss icon with a bold, highly functional timepiece: the Pelagos FXD Chrono “Yellow”, a limited edition of just 300 pieces.

Cancellara, who wore the yellow jersey for a total of 29 days and claimed eight stage wins during his illustrious career, may no longer be racing, but he’s once again donning yellow—this time on his wrist. The new Pelagos FXD Chrono “Yellow” pairs vivid yellow accents with a matte black dial , evoking memories of scorching summer stages and grueling mountain climbs.

Professional cycling places immense demands on both athlete and equipment, and this new Pelagos edition is engineered accordingly. Housed in a 43mm case made from carbon composite with titanium elements, the watch is lightweight yet exceptionally robust. Water-resistant to 100 meters, it’s designed to withstand the rigors of high-intensity racing and changing environments.

The FXD in the model's name refers to its Fixed Strap Bars, a nod to the solid, integrated lugs that offer enhanced durability and security during extreme use. A unidirectional 60-minute bezel further reinforces its sporting credentials.

One standout feature of the Pelagos FXD Chrono “Yellow” is its spiral tachymeter scale, designed specifically for cycling. Unlike traditional chronograph tachymeters calibrated for high-speed motorsport, this version is tailored to the average speeds seen in pro cycling. Whether it's the winding descent into Courchevel or a solo time trial in Caen, riders—and fans—can track performance precisely.

True to Tudor’s watchmaking ethos, the Pelagos FXD Chrono “Yellow” offers excellent legibility thanks to its luminescent applied hour markers in monobloc ceramic, and the brand’s iconic Snowflake hands, originally developed in the 1960s. These are coated with Super-LumiNova for outstanding readability in low-light conditions.

Powering the watch is the self-winding MT5813 manufacture chronograph movement, based on the Breitling B01. This COSC-certified caliber features a column-wheel mechanism, vertical clutch, and an antimagnetic silicon balance spring. Along its robust resistance to magnetic fields and a high precision rate it delivers 70 hours of power reserve. A special caseback engraving commemorates the 2025 Tour de France, along with the watch’s individual number out of 300.

Tudor again collaborated with Julien Faure, its French textile partner, to produce a highly technical 22mm Jacquard fabric strap. It’s finished in black with a contrasting yellow stripe, secured with a classic pin buckle. The Pelagos FXD Chrono “Yellow” is priced at $5,600.
