Gergé Type M Metropolis The new brand Gergé Swiss Timepieces has announced the launch of its Type M - Metropolis collection, which includes three main variations: the Type M3 automatic-chrono COSC with mono push-button and date; Type M2 automatic-chrono movement and date, and the Type M automatic day/date. The watches were inspired by the futuristic vision of urban architecture featured in the renowned Fritz Lang film, Metropolis. The “Type M – Metropolis” features a 45mm round case, available in steel, titanium or rose gold and titanium. With floors like a building, the “Type M” case design is distinguished by a unique, transparent 15 piece construction, with the lugs expressing an innovative architectural dimension. Its dials are decorated with vertical Côtes de Genève patterns. Located in Neuchâtel Switzerland, the Gergé brand brings a heritage of two generations in fine jewelry and watchmaking. The timepieces are designed by company co-founder and President George Kojababian, and developed and manufactured by Gergé in Switzerland. The company also has offices in Los Angeles, California. “The Gergé Type M – Metropolis timepiece is a dream come true in the making,” said Kojababian. “As a watch collector myself, my passion was to create the ultimate watch that not only looks different, but is built differently. Our goal was to introduce a watch with a superior level of precision and fine craftsmanship not seen before.” For more information, visit www.gergeswiss.com. The images may be enlarged with a click.
