Panerai returns to its origins with the new Radiomir California, which was unveiled during this year's Watches and Wonders. Developed in 1935, the Radiomir was Panerai's first wristwatch and laid the design foundation for contemporary Radiomir models.

The newcomer comes with a dark green dial and is the first 45mm watch with a signature California dial, which features both Roman and Arabic numerals. They submit a green glow in the dark.

The case is made of Panerai's eSteel, a stainless steel that is made from up to 95 percent recycled steel scrap, and remains water-resistant up to 100 meters. To highlight the vintage aura, it has been given a weathered effect by applying a PVD coating and manual brushes.

The Radiomir California is driven by the hand-wound manufacture caliber P.5000 which offers an eight-day power reserve thanks to two barrels. It can be admired through the exhibition case back.

The calf leather strap features the branded "G. Panerai e Figlio" inscription. This is an exclusive detail that recalls the engraving on the company sign of Panerai's original workshop in Florence.

Pricing for the Panerai Radiomir California is marked at $12,300.
