Introducing the Oris Artelier Complication

The revived Artelier Complication presents a poetic moon-phase and a GMT function in a clean, decidedly contemporary design. Three executions are available.

Unveiled at Watches and Wonders 2026, the new Artelier Complication marks the return of one of Oris’s most elegant watches. Reinterpreted with a lighter, more architectural touch, it combines a moon-phase display with a GMT function, two of the most sought-after complications. The redesign was led by 24-year-old Product Design Engineer Lena Huwiler, whose approach focused on clarity, proportion, and emotional resonance. By reducing visual complexity and emphasizing key complications, she has created a watch that feels both timeless and current, appealing to a new generation of collectors who value both heritage and modern design.

At the heart of the redesign is a decisive simplification. Previous generations of the Artelier Complication featured multiple sub dials; the new model pares this back to just two: the moon phase at 12 o’clock, beautifully rendered in front of a star-studded sky, and a second time zone at 6 o’clock. Available in ivory, midnight blue, and chestnut, each dial features a three-part construction: a textured central field, a smooth outer ring, and recessed sub dials. Further details add to the contemporary look and feel. It has tapered and stepped hour markers and square-tipped hour and minute hands, the latter filled with Superluminova for night-time readability. In addition, there’s a new sans serif typeface for the words “Artelier” and “Swiss Made”.

This refined layout is made possible by the new Oris Caliber 782, an automatic movement derived from Caliber 781 but reengineered to remove additional dial indications. Sellita-based like its predecessor, the movement offers a power reserve of 41 hours and a stop-second function. It can be admired through the exhibition case back.

The Artelier Complication debuts in a 39.5mm stainless steel case, with a slim height of 11.8mm. It is available either on a dark brown leather strap secured by a butterfly clasp or on a multi-piece stainless steel bracelet, also fitted with a butterfly clasp. The watch is priced at $2,950 on leather and $3,150  on the steel bracelet, with availability beginning in May 2026.
