Citizen Expands Tsuyosa Collection with New 37mm Models
Citizen this past week has expanded their popular Tsuyosa collection, introducing three new 37mm models. The launch follows the 2023 release of the original 40mm variant, that watch marking Citizen’s firm entrance into the integrated sports watch category. The new timepieces work to provide a more versatile size option for the series, alongside their distinct colors in light blue, pink, and green.
The chief highlight of the new launch is the 37mm diameter, using that distinct silhouette first introduced in the 40mm version. Executed in steel, the Tsuyosa features sharp facets on its integrated lugs, with a smart use of polished and brushed finishes throughout from case to bracelet. A thin bezel assists the dial feel a bit more expansive for its downsized diameter, while a 4 o’clock crown adds a touch of distinction to the sports watch.
A sapphire crystal protects the display, in the new size now available Ice Blue, Pastel Pink, and Dark Green. The blue has been previously seen in the 40mm variant, while the pink and green editions are new to the series. Each of the dials opt for a sunray texture, with applied, lume-filled hour indices a cyclops-magnified date window, and a baton handset balancing between one another.
Powering the new Tsuyosa 37mm models is Citizen's in-house Caliber 8210, an automatic movement with manual winding capability. The mechanism operates at a frequency of 21,600 vph, features a hacking, stop-second function, and holds a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. The movement is visible via a sapphire exhibition caseback, with its steel and brass details visible in their utilitarian detail.
