In a surprising move just 12 days before Watches and Wonders 2024, Tudor yesterday announced the new Black Bay Chrono "Pink" which shines bright with a - well - pink dial. "A pink dial may seem unexpected at first, but going against the grain is part of Tudor's core DNA," the brand whose motto is "Born to Dare" explained.

Designed in collaboration with Jay Chou, it "celebrates the daring spirit of Tudor's ambassadors," including David Beckham. Both the Taiwanese musician and the soccer legend, who owns the Inter Miami Club, have a passion for pink. However, according to Tudor, only a small number will be produced.

Staying true to the Black Bay aesthetic, the Black Bay Chrono model adopts the famous "snowflake" hands, a signature of the brand's diver's watches since 1969, in a version honed to ensure optimal readability on its pink domed dial with two black counters, mirroring the beloved panda-style in a new color way. All features of the Black Bay line - satin-brushed and polished surfaces, beveled lugs and a crown signed with a Tudor rose - are presented in a steel case with a diameter of 41mm and a water-resistance rating of 200 meters. The design of the pushers is also inspired by the first generation of Tudor chronographs. A fixed stainless steel bezel with a black anodized aluminum tachymeter scale insert completes the familiar appearance of the Black Bay collection.

Also known is the tour de force inside, the COSC-certified Caliber MT5813, a self-winding manufacture chronograph movement with a column-wheel mechanism and vertical clutch created in collaboration with Breitling. It offers a 70-hour power reserve and is equipped with a silicon balance spring.

This new Black Bay Chrono model comes fitted on a 5-link stainless-steel bracelet with Tudor “T-fit” rapid adjustment clasp. Requiring no tools and offering five positions, this system allows wearers to carry out a fine, instant adjustment of the total length of the bracelet up to 8mm.

Pricing is of the Black Bay Chrono "Pink" is marked at $5,675.
