Longines Conquest Chronograph "Ski Edition" Celebrates FIS Alpine Ski World Championships
Founded in 1832, Longines is one of the few watchmakers with nearly two centuries of continuous history. The brand’s long-standing association with major sporting events has made it a key player in the world of sports timekeeping. As the Official Partner of the International Ski Federation (FIS), Longines is closely linked to the world of alpine skiing, including the upcoming 2025 FIS Alpine Ski World Championships in Saalbach, Austria, from February 4 to 16. After the Olympic Winter Games, this is the most important event in the world of skiing. The Alpine World Ski Championships bring together in one place the best skiers in all disciplines, male and female, for two weeks.
To mark this prestigious event, Longines presents a limited edition of its Conquest Chronograph, the Conquest Chrono Ski Edition, which is restricted to just 2,025 pieces. This robust and sporty timepiece features a 42mm stainless steel case, water-resistant to 100 meters, with alternating polished and satin-finished surfaces. The anthracite dial is satin-finished, with black sub dials for the small seconds (at the 3 o'clock) and chronograph counters (at the 6 and 9 o'clock). The dial’s edge is decorated with an azurage pattern, a signature design element of the Conquest collection, adding depth to the overall look.
Striking red accents, including the chronograph hands and the red text on the ceramic bezel's tachymeter scale, provide a bold contrast to the otherwise subtle color scheme. The dial is protected by a double-sided anti-reflective sapphire crystal and features luminescent coating on the applied indices at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock, as well as on the rhodium-plated and polished hour and minute hands.
The case back is engraved with the emblem of the 48th FIS Alpine Ski World Championships, and inside beats the Longines exclusive automatic movement, caliber L898.5. Equipped with a silicon balance spring and other innovative components, it offers enhanced magnetic resistance that far exceeds the requirements of the ISO 764 standard and a power reserve of 59 hours.
The Conquest Chronograph Ski Edition is attached to a metal bracelet featuring a triple safety folding clasp and retails for $4,300.
