In the Spotlight: Tudor Glamour Double Date

When talking about Tudor, conversations are usually aimed at the Black Bay, Pelagos, Ranger, or Royal collections, but the brand has more to show than these ranges alone. In the Glamour collection, Tudor offers an extensive array of watches with a sportive chic appearance. Among them the Glamour Double Date presents a particularly interesting proposition. As the name already indicates, this model offers a large date function with two windows. On the dial, the feature is balanced out by a sub-seconds display at six o'clock.

The glamour that this collection offers is more 'The Rat Pack' than anything else, and I consider that a good thing. The Glamour Double Date is one of those watches that you get to enjoy under the radar. It doesn't scream its qualities out loud, but rather impresses with understatement. The size of its case is generous, measuring 42mm in diameter, which it compensates with via the soft lines of the case. On the wrist, it offers contemporary elegance, and with a wide array of different versions to choose from, you get to decide how classic or modern you want it to be. With a steel and gold case, champagne-colored dial, and alligator leather strap it almost looks like a vintage watch. In contrast, with an opaline dial in a stainless steel case with a matching stainless steel bracelet, it can give Tudor's sports models a run for its money. Tudor also offers the Glamour Double Date with diamond indices for those who feel really glamorous.

Inside the case ticks Tudor's manufacture caliber MT5641. This automatic movement can be admired through the sapphire insert in the stainless steel caseback, and it is chronometer-certified. The Glamour Double Date is also not afraid of water, as it offers a water-resistant up to 10 ATM/100 meters. These details help make this Tudor a pleasant everyday companion, and with the many configurations in which this model is available, it is hard not to find one that matches your preferences.

Prices for the Tudor Glamour Double Date start at $3,450 for a stainless steel model on an alligator strap, up to $5,625 for the steel/gold models on a steel/gold bracelet with diamond-set dial.
