Parmigiani Fleurrier Appoints Marcia Mazzocchi as General Manager of the Americas

Marcia Mazzocchi Parmigiani Fleurier has announced the appointment of Marcia Mazzocchi as General Manager of the Americas, effective January 3rd, 2011. Ms. Mazzocchi will lead the brand in its efforts to develop a stronger presence in North and South America. Ms. Mazzocchi has an extensive background and knowledge of the luxury watch industry, having recently held the post of U.S. President of the Girard-Perregaux and JeanRichard brands. Ms. Mazzocchi has also served as U.S. President of A. Lange & Söhne, where she played a key role in the growth and development of sales and distribution channels in North, South and Central America as well as the Caribbean market. Before that, Ms. Mazzocchi held the position of West Coast Manager and event marketing for IWC. The appointment of Ms. Mazzocchi coincides with Parmigiani’s announcement of the opening of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Parmigiani Fleurier Distribution Americas, based in Miami, FL, in order to take direct control of its U.S. distribution. Parmigiani CEO, Jean Marc Jacot said, “We are thrilled to have Marcia as part of our executive team and know that with her great experience we are positioning the Parmigiani brand for tremendous success in the Americas.” Mazzocchi added, “I have long admired the Parmigiani brand, and I look forward to working with the team iand growing the brand and increasing its awareness and importance in this market. Parmigiani is a young brand, but it is rich with its own unique history and I am confident that the customer will respond to these beautifully crafted timepieces.”
