Initial Report from Seiko: Tokyo Office Undamaged by Earthquake

Seiko Seiko has issued a statement thanking those who have expressed concern, and providing an update on the status of the company and its employees in the wake of the massive 8.9 magnitude earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan Friday afternoon local time. Find the complete text inside. Dear Friend of Seiko, We would like to thank the many people who have contacted us, expressing concern over the effects of Friday’s earthquake. Our offices in Tokyo were undamaged and no one at Seiko Watch Corporation was directly affected. It is, however, too early to say that everyone in the group companies of Seiko is safe, and all we can do is hope for the best and offer our sympathy and thoughts to the many people in Japan who have suffered in the last hours and days.
