Next month, WatchTime New York marks its milestone 10th anniversary as the premier U.S. luxury watch collector event. Taking place October 17–19 at Gotham Hall in New York City, the three-day showcase brings together enthusiasts, collectors, and leading names in haute horlogerie for an unparalleled celebration of watchmaking. With over forty top brands participating, the event offers an exclusive opportunity to discover the latest novelties, meet industry leaders, and connect with fellow aficionados in the heart of Manhattan.

Among the many highlights, several standout debuts from Citizen, Fortis, Laurent Ferrier, Piaget, and Ressence will be on display. Below, we take a closer look at five watches that exemplify some of the watchmakers’ best work this year, and soon to be shown in NYC.

Citizen ATTESA Eco-Drive Radio-Controlled Limited Edition

© Citizen

Citizen is known for its forward-looking, technology-focused watchmaking, and this work continues with the new ATTESA Eco-Drive Radio-Controlled Limited Edition (AT8314-53L).

Limited to 1,800 pieces, the watch features a distinctive full sapphire glass covering both the dial and bezel, producing a unique depth and shifting blue hues across its surface. Built in lightweight Super Titanium™ with Duratect DLC coating, the 43.5mm case houses the Eco-Drive caliber H800, offering radio-controlled timekeeping across 26 time zones, a 1/20-second chronograph, and a perpetual calendar.

Fortis Stratoliner S-41 Reentry Edition

Drawing inspiration from one of the most dramatic moments in space travel— reentry into Earth’s atmosphere— Fortis introduces the Stratoliner S-41 Reentry Edition.

The watch’s titanium dial undergoes a flame-treatment process, creating one-of-a-kind colorations of copper, violet, and blue across each surface. No two dials are alike, underscoring the individuality of each piece. Inside, the space-tested Werk 17 caliber powers the chronograph with a 60-hour reserve, proven during high-altitude flights and rocket missions.

Laurent Ferrier Sport Auto 79

To mark its 15th anniversary earlier this year, Laurent Ferrier presented the Sport Auto 79, a red-gold timepiece paying tribute to the founders’ third-place finish at the 1979 Le Mans 24 Hours.

On the wrist, the luxury sports watch measures 41.5mm, with its case and integrated bracelet being crafted entirely in 5N red gold and paired with a cream-colored opaline dial. Inside beats the LF270.01 automatic micro-rotor movement, decorated to the brand’s exacting standards and visible through the sapphire caseback.

Piaget Altiplano 910P in Yellow Gold

Piaget added a new chapter to its ultra-thin legacy with the Altiplano 910P in yellow gold. Measuring just 4.3mm thick, the watch integrates case and movement in a seamless design that exemplifies the Maison’s mastery of slim mechanical engineering. The warm yellow-gold case contrasts nicely with a khaki green dial and strap, while the peripheral rotor maintains the svelte proportions without compromising performance.

Ressence Type 7 GMT

Ressence is a brand driven by novel approaches to timekeeping, and the same is true for its highlight launch of the year in the new Type 7 GMT. Dubbed as the brand’s most advanced tool watch to date, the timepiece is crafted in Grade 5 titanium, with the 41mm case and integrated bracelet housing the patented ROCS 7 system with oil-filled display, creating the illusion of time projected directly onto the sapphire crystal. A first for the brand, the namesake GMT function offers effortless second-time-zone tracking alongside running time, with the patented ROCS 7 movement using a magnetic transmission system to deliver a fluid experience.

These five launches are just a preview of what’s in store at WatchTime New York 2025. From Citizen’s cutting-edge ATTESA to Laurent Ferrier’s Sport Auto 79, each brand brings a distinct perspective. Join us at Gotham Hall this October to see these watches— and many more— up close.
